Behind the scenes for the last few weeks I’ve been working on a new workshop series called: The Conscious Business Manifesto Workshop.

One of the struggles I see coming up when I meet and talk to female business owners is a lack of integration between the personal and the professional.

Time and time again I meet women in business who feel like they don’t know how to inject their real personality into their business, especially their brand and marketing copy. In other words, they're not sure how to show up as themselves.

What this inevitably leads to is a serious disconnect between ourselves and our businesses. A disconnect that, while not obviously visible, is definitely felt by the people who interact with us through our businesses.

When potential clients read our web copy or engage with our posts, something just doesn't click. They're not sure why and, in the end, they just move on.

The word Authenticity has become a bit of a buzz-word when it comes to business and the marketing we engage in. I believe, however, that being authentic is still a necessity in our interactions with others.

This then begs the question, how the heck are we’re supposed to show up authentically for our potential clients; what should we be sharing of ourselves online and what shouldn’t we?

Given that, for most heart-centred service providers our ideal clients are drawn to the essence of who we are, our values and our perspective. This disconnect can be a huge problem. One that leads either to a lack of right-fit clients finding us amidst all the noise online or, worse yet, attracting the wrong kind of clients.

When I help business owners, through coaching, reconnect to what really matters to them and rediscover the heart and soul of their work in this world, the impact is huge.
